Bats Making Noise:

Bats making noise in attic– We recently received a call from a homeowner in Clarkston. They were hearing scratching noises in the attic. Upon inspection, the technician found Brown Bats roosting in the attic. He was also able to find that the bats were gaining entry into the attic at the eaves on the roof line.

The Exclusion Process:

The exclusion process is the steps that technicians take to ensure the proper removal of the bats from the home. Once all the entry points are located we schedule the exclusion. In this particular case it was noted that there were eight entry points, all were at the eaves on the roof line of the home. Our technicians sealed off all of the openings at the eaves. They then installed four One Way Bat Doors. These specially designed bat doors allow bats to leave the home, but when returning cannot regain entry. The final step is to do a spot cleaning. Spot cleaning is a process where all the bat guano and damaged insulation ect is removed and the area is cleaned and sanitized. Bat guano can be hazardous if left untreated as the fungal spores can become airborne causing possible illnesses.
